Weekly Heat: 7th June

Every week we choose the freshest selection of new music that you need in your rotation. This week features new music from Conrad Van Orton, Lemna, Tom Vernon, Marco Bruno and Kasper Marott.

Conrad Van Orton – Morituri

“Fluxing between hard-wired reality and digital construct, this storming new EP by Rome’s Conrad Van Orton kicks off a new arc of releases on Counterchange this season. Check out his sleek “Morituri” cut. Damn.”

Lemna – Dodecahedron

“Japanese artist Lemna deals in complex, interlocking rhythms and vapourous atmospheres with a humid intensity. This particular track displays cohesive drum studies loaded with cinematic tension and an ambiguous mood. Mmmm.”

Tom Vernon – Disappear

“Tom Vernon is a relatively new face on the house music scene but his latest EP comes via Lost Palms and includes this beauty that leans heavily on an electro beat; but for a hazy elongated drop it’s a heady dancefloor number, before easing off again into the closing track.”

Marco Bruno – Blinded

“After previously appearing on both Hardgroove and Symbolism VA’s, Bruno returns for a full EP on Ben Sim’s Symbolism imprint. Containing flawless techno beats, “Blinded” is a standout for us.”

Kasper Marott – NV Laser

“Danish favourite Kasper Marott returns to Courtesy’s Kulør with a brand new four-track thriller. Each track is unique in it’s own right but NV Laser is straight up killer.”
