XL Recordings announce the release of ‘Diamond Cut/Bby’ – the new EP and 12” record from dynamic London duo Overmono.
Previewed in their recent BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, “Diamond Cut“ is a euphoric, soulful UKG-inspired rave track and the a-side to the previously released “Bby”.
A natural follow-on to the 2021 summer dance music anthem, “So U Know”, Diamond Cut/Bby cements Overmono’s position as two of the most influential and prolific producers in dance music.
Speaking on the release, Overmono explain: “Made this one after spending most of the summer driving round with the live gear battering old Basic Channel records in the car. It came together so quickly and even tho it doesn’t sound anything like basic channel it will always remind us of things opening up again and listening to those records.”
