TDE’s Lance Skiiiwalker opens the new year with a new video for standout track “Peso” taken from his recently-released EP Tales From The Telescope Chapter 2: Internal Shine on Top Dawg Entertainment.
The animated, Matthew Freiheit directed visual features his label mate SiR and showcases both artists talking heads on falling Mexican dollars as the lyrics touch upon the struggles of chasing materialism over happiness.
Lance Skiiiwalker is a singer, producer, and all around creative from Chicago, Illinois. After being discovered by Kendrick Lamar, he became a frequent collaborator and eventually signed with Top Dawg Entertainment.
His recent record Tales From The Telescope Chapter 2: Internal Shine expands upon the sounds Lance delivered with the first project in the series Rebirth, which was released in September. These projects serve as a re-introduction to Lance’s otherworldly production following his 2016 debut album Introverted Intuition.
Speaking on his inspirations for creating new music, Lance says “I’ve always made music to inspire people to live life with curiosity, joy, and imagination. During the pandemic everyone has been forced to be alone more often, so it’s the perfect time to learn self growth and love. Stay introverted!“
