With festival season just around the corner, it’s a refreshing feeling to finally have that dilemma of which one to attend. With new ones emerging and established festivals returning, one which never fails to disappoint is Gottwood Festival over in Anglesey, North Wales. Showcasing a stunning line-up, the first since lockdown struck in 2019, Gottwood continues to cement it’s name as one of the most respected festivals in the UK — constantly showcasing some of the best emerging talent intertwined with some of the most respected names.
On the list this year is youngstar LUXE — a DJ, composer and producer hailing from London, kickstarting her journey in Manchester, initially becoming part of a collective called B.L.O.O.M. and going on to play regular club gigs across the city. Blending a multitude of different influences from prog house and psychedelic trance to UK bass, techno and breakbeat jungle sounds, LUXE has made quite a name for herself including contributions to Banoffee Pies Records and high-quality self releases across Bandcamp and beyond.
Co-signed by HAAi and garnering a huge amount of attention with her trance-breaks-garage-hardcore hybrid sounds, LUXE chooses her ‘Five Artists Not To Miss At Gottwood Festival 2022’, which includes last year break out star Yung Singh and the enigmatic Bakey. You can catch LIXE this summer at Queens Yard Summer Party, Gottwood Festival and Waterworks Festival this year.
