Non-conforming UK rapper Blackhaine aka Tom Heyes shares third and final music video in the trilogy that accompanies new EP, Armour II (out now on Fixed Abode).
The trilogy of videos all deliver different abstractions of the narrative in the main body of work and this self-directed clip for Armour Freestyle, a track that features Preston’s Moseley and Rainy Miller’s distinctive production, continues the narrative of release vs paranoia.
Armour II, produced by long term collaborator Rainy Miller also features Blood Orange aka Dev Hynes, Iceboy Violet and KinseyLloyd. It follows Blackhaine’s breakthrough 2020 debut and 2021 EP And Salford Falls Apart (released on The White Hotel’s label Head II). Blackhaine also featured on Space Afrika’s highly acclaimed album Honest Labour and is known for his choreography work with Kanye West’s Donda 1 and 2, Mykki Blanco x GucciGig and Flohio.
Following a recent spring headline tour in the UK, Blackhaine will make festival appearances at Club To Club (Turin, and Amsterdam editions), Tresor 31 (Blackhaine presents curated stage) in Berlin, Lunchmeat in Prague, No Bounds in Sheffield, with many more to be announced.
