Bjarki drops single ‘Do You Like Yourself’ after his new A/V show alongside Thomas Harrington Rawle during ADE.
Crafted during a late-night studio session, ‘Do You Like Yourself’ sees the bbbbbb founder and diverse creative delve further into his explorations and experiments with ‘AI’ technology – a theme he looked to explore during ADE as he partnered with multimedia artist Thomas Harrington Rawle for their conceptual audiovisual show ‘Look At Yourself’ at Amsterdam’s NXT Museum last Friday.
The single will also feature as part of his forthcoming EP under the same title as the A/V show, with the project set for release later this year.
Speaking on his new music, Bjarki explains: “We are all looking for something, we scroll through all kinds of people on dating apps to search for something we call love. It’s all very cyber and weird.”
Featuring an AI-generated voice acting as a hopeless romantic, the track’s concept stems from Bjarki’s curiosity in attempting to craft computer-generated voices into realistic tones and expressions – wandering the line between perceived and actual reality, and between human-to-human interaction within cyberspace.
