Wesley Joseph shares new track and visuals to ‘Sugar Drive’ ahead of his highly-anticipated new project

Multi-faceted artist and director Wesley Joseph returns with “SUGAR DIVE” feat. DEAN ahead of his brand new project GLOW.

“SUGAR DIVE” pairs ethereal Curtis Mayfield-esque soul with a garage beat and bathes it all in a haunting echo. South Korean alternative-R&B polymath DEAN (Anderson .Paak, Syd) provides a welcomed vocal contribution, with slinky beats and radiant chords flowing beneath Wesley Joseph and DEAN’s sonorous lyrics.

Speaking on the track, Wesley Joseph states: “I wrote ‘Sugar Dive’ with Leon Vynehall and Harvey Dweller in London last summer. We wanted to make something that felt like the warmth of the season – and had a sense of romance and nostalgia to it. I kept the second verse free after we finished the production and shared it with my friend DEAN, who is an amazing South Korean artist. He was feeling it and the rest came together really easily.”

Wesley Joseph will also be supporting Loyle Carner on his sold-out UK run starting this month – including a date at Wembley Arena – before starting his debut headline North American tour, and a London headline show at KOKO on Thursday 18th May.
