_J.L-A.L_ Takes A Fresh Direction For SS24

Fast-emerging British designer Jean-Luc Ambridge’s label has just revealed a string of transformative technical garments for Spring/Summer 2024.

Moving on from last season’s collection, exploring natural phenomena through time, _J.L-A.L_ enters a new chapter, with the latest collection serving as a reflection of self and sets an investigative microscope against traditional menswear archetypes.

Through elevated formats, the brand uses repetition to evaluate functional design — embracing utilitarian motifs across triple-collared necktie shirts and specialized outerwear with multiple arm compartments.

Elsewhere throughout the collection, hooded caps are modified to with detachable pockets that are able to be reshaped into a crossbody bag, whilst natural fabrics are used to produce frilled windbreakers and shimmering knitwear. Pierced car coats and matching trousers reveal tinted textiles beneath, allowing for a fresh outlook on British tailoring.
