Sally C has just brought out her third release on her own Big Saldo’s Chunkers label, and the EP is 4 tracks of unadulterated dancefloor bliss, full of euphoric beats and an unsurpassed feeling of sheer energetic joy.
The Berlin based DJ and producer has made a name for herself as a vibrant selector encompassing many musical styles in her high octane sets (which have been unleashed everywhere from Panorama Bar and Printworks to Love International Festival) and she undoubtedly takes the same approach to her productions and the tracks on the Big Saldo’s Chunker 003 EP bring that vibrant energy from start to finish.
The EP kicks off with “All Love”, a track that combines its own house groove and powerful beats with a sublime euphoric feel to create a perfect opener. This brilliant opening salvo is followed by “Hit It”, which keeps the energy levels up in tremendous style with some classic sounding breaks and sirens with a well placed sample of the tracks title as it’s calling card. The hypnotic “Control” is up next and adds a catchy, dreamlike focus to proceedings with a big acid flavour and the vibe just grows bigger and bigger. Big Saldo’s Chunker 003 ends on a high with the aptly titled Get Up which amps up the vibrant nature of the whole EP and manages to pump up the energy levels to fever pitch and is the perfect way to round things off.
With Big Saldo’s Chunker 003 EP, Sally C has once again shown exactly what she does and how she does it in her own inimitable style, and while you enjoy these tracks both at home and on the dancefloor, hopefully number 4 won’t be too far on the offing too.
