16Arlington’s Debut Menswear Collection Balances Masculinity And Feminism

Marco Capaldo’s label 16Arlington — renowned for its beautifully tailored pieces — releases debut menswear FW23 collection.

The ‘Wake’ collection showcased a new sense of softness, combining its mirage of womenswear looks class with plunged necklines and forks of feathers. The esteemed British label kept dance-floor-ready garments whilst introducing distinctive minimalism into its menswear line.

Entitled ‘Wake’, the new collection plays on the meanings of the work (new dawns, late nights, funerals an early mornings) and amongst the lace and marabou feathers of the womenswear were male models adorned in silky two-piece suits reminiscent of luxury sleepwear in warm tones of bitter chocolate.

Elsewhere, mohair Knut tops and oversized-collar with low cut necks, while a crystal-embellished, close-fit mesh top was a standout as it shimmered down the runway. A fluffy shearling coat in black and a tailored, slim-fit suit with a lacy, lingerie-like embroidered hem ensured we’ll be keeping us warm during the winter months.

Alongside the drop, 16Arlington delivers calf-length curled fur coats and its first menswear, dual-pocketed shoulder bag, the “Jumbo Kikka.”
