Erick The Architect invites Channel Tres for new single “Ambrosia”

Flatbush’s Erick The Architect enlists multi-faceted US artist Channel Tres for slick new single “Ambrosia”.

The bragadocious new heater “Ambrosia” speaks to the power of cultural impact, and Erick’s ever-evolving growth as an artist and cult star. With an assist from California’s very own Channel Tres, the pair deliver their seamless flow and low cadence across the choppy Linden Jay production, laden with smart percussive elements and underlying bass riffs, continuing to shape an alternative hip-hop sound Erick’s become known for.

Speaking on the new single, Erick states: “Ambrosia is a feel-good record that may appear initially as if it’s about the pursuit of a woman, but it’s more about searching for a particular feeling of perfection. Going throughout the day [hoping] that everything lines up perfectly to achieve this nirvana you’re looking for. The weather is perfect, you have the perfect outfit on, you smell great, and the vibe is right.  In that same light, as much as I am in the pursuit of finding ambrosia, I know that with this attitude I will find what I’m looking for because the night is young.”

Speaking on working with Erick, Channel Tres explains: “Erick is a special artist – we got connected through James Blake at Conway studios and we been homies ever since. Writing this song was fun because it encouraged me to really search in my writing and tap into other parts of my creative process.”

This follows a busy year for Erick, having already clocked a standout feature on dance icons Jungle’s monumental track “Candle Flame”, releasing his single “Parkour” alongside award-wining producer and close friend James Blake, and a surprise appearances alongside Loyle Carner for the London legs of his UK tour, preforming their joint single “Let It Go”. Erick also has a tour this November with Flatbush Zombies in the pipeline across the US.
