Canadian outwear label Arc’Teryx have announced its first-ever archival exhibition over in Shibuya, Tokyo.
Titled ‘ARC’HIVES’, the showcase will house 40 individual pieces from the brand’s history, highlighting the evolution of its utilitarian and technical design practice.
Fittingly, the showcase opens in line with the release of the brand’s 10th iteration of Arc’Teryx’s quintessential ALPHA SV JACKET, featuring a durable construction made entirely from recycled materials, and the soon-to-open gallery will highlight the changing shapes of the iconic silhouette.
As well as the ALPHA SV JACKET, the exhibition will showcase the THETA AR JACKET from the brand’s shell series and will display the design’s technological evolution over the last two decades.
The “ARC’HIVES” exhibition will be open from 1st to 5th November at Hz-Shibuya located at 4-3 Udagawa-cho in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
Admission will be free for all visitors.
