The most anticipated show of London Fashion Week took place last night in Victoria Park. Burberry invited a slew of celebrities including the likes of Joanna Lumley, Skepta, Little Simz, Barry Keoghan and Clint to witness Daniel Lee’s latest Fall/Winter 2024 collection.
Set inside a huge green-tinted tent, the collection was serenaded by vocals from the late Amy Winehouse, including and sample from “You Know I’m Good”. In similar fashion to Spring/Summer 2024, Lee pulled inspiration from England’s unique natural environments, mixing his outdoor fascinations with a protective essence — essentially offering a collection fit for the British weather.
Coats were the theme for FW24, some puffed up and and some shrunk down in trimmed fur, supple leather, and nylon finishes. While Lee has become synonymous with Burberry check in blue, he debuted the pattern in musty browns, dim-lit yellows, and eccentric reds, with looks transitioning from day to night across pinstriped suiting, sheer shirting, and strapless evening wear.
