It’s been announced that Peter Do has officially stepped down from his role as Creative Director of Helmut Lang.
Having joined the brand in March 2023 with a goal to revive the storied house, Peter Do is now stepping down as Creative Director. The brand, founded in 1986, has struggled to retain its cultural cachet since Lang left the business back in 2015.
Do will exit the brand at the end of November and the upcoming pre-fall 2025 collection will be his final collection for Helmut Lang. His replacement is yet to be announced.
In a statement, Peter Do expressed: “I want to express my gratitude to my Helmut Lang team who have been integral in supporting my vision. It’s been an incredible journey to be tasked to carry on the legacy of Helmut Lang.”
