Point & Shoot with Pretty Girl

Pretty Girl is carving out a distinct space at the intersection of dancefloor energy and emotional vulnerability. With roots in Melbourne’s vibrant underground scene, she quickly earned attention for her self-produced tracks that combine ethereal melodies, introspective vocals and club-ready rhythms. Now based in London, her work bridges the intimacy of bedroom production with the scale of festival stages. As both a producer and performer, Pretty Girl embodies a new generation of electronic artists blending identity, mood, and movement into immersive, genre-blurring soundscapes.

Now, Pretty Girl has unveiled her contribution to the renowned fabric presents mix series, marking a significant milestone in her fast-rising career. Released via fabric Records, the mix is a refined showcase of her distinctive style—balancing the emotive and the euphoric across a blend of deep house, UK garage and atmospheric club textures.

The project includes two new original tracks, “Innadream” and “Hahaha”, both exclusive to the release. “Innadream”, in particular, captures the essence of Pretty Girl’s sound: dreamy, introspective and driven by a strong sense of melody—born from a tune she heard in a dream. The mix also features key contributions from a range of talents such as RONA., Swimming, Palms Trax, EJECA, Jeigo and Guy Contact.

Speaking on the mix, Pretty Girl explained to us: “I think looking back on these highlights I can see the seeds of the ideas that have been fed into the energy of the fabric mix – I was trying to make a choice to enjoy life and find optimism and positivity where I could. The mix, especially the single “Innadream”, was inspired by all of these cool things that I got to do, and my gratitude for them. I want to take all of my experiences and my feelings and put them into music that inspires people – that’s my life’s mission. I hope there’s a sliver of positivity in there for anyone who needs it.”

To celebrate the mix and to spotlight Pretty Girl, we gave the rising artist a disposable camera: “This is a window into my life, from my Melbourne home to my London home, between February to April. I was, and am currently, in the process of creating some large bodies of work – starting with my fabric presents compilation, so I was really getting the most out of life during this period.”

Pretty Girl: “One of many goodbye dinners between me and my friends in my endless cycle of leaving and returning home. We had KBBQ on King Street, it was awesome.”

Pretty Girl: “Down the beach in Melbourne, another dinner with friends. I made crispy smashed potatoes with a yoghurt dressing. It’s my friend Clara’s beach house, and a sanctuary for me.”

Pretty Girl: “My dad and his partner cooking at home in Reservoir, Melbourne. Linh is making ceviche and I can’t remember or see what he’s making. They are literally always in the kitchen, big foodies.”

Pretty Girl: “On the plane back to London in February with a belly full of goodbye meals, no goodbye tears left to cry, and ready to embrace the cold and the chaos of London.”

Pretty Girl: “The aforementioned cold and chaos of London. It was actually a beautiful day that day, I’d been at the Tate and was on the bus home. I felt optimistic.”

Pretty Girl: “My flatmate Huw and our friend Clem at DJ Boring’s Colour Club at Archives. I was so jet-lagged but I believe partying is a great way to reset your circadian rhythm.”

Pretty Girl: “My first show back in London supporting the beautiful Sofia Kourtesis at KOKO for her magical headline show.”

Pretty Girl: “Although I was happy to be back in London, I kept getting intrusive thoughts of leaving, so I visited my friend Phoebe in Madrid. We went on a hike in the mountains – the UE boom in this photo attached to her backpack was playing Oklou’s new album, choke enough.”

Pretty Girl: “On the Lizzie line on my way back from Heathrow. I hate to think of what it was like to get to Heathrow before the Lizzie line. Grateful.”

Pretty Girl: “I was so lucky to get to visit the Maldives and play a party there. I was actually in the middle of making the fabric compilation- I had the first song, Hahaha, done, but no ideas for the second one. I was so stressed but thought whatever, I will just enjoy this weekend and then get back to work Monday and get a song done. While I was on the island I took a few moments to really let the beauty and wonder of the place set in, I meditated on the beach staring out at the sky. And when I finally did get back to London and back to work, Innadream came to me.”

Pretty Girl: “Returning from snorkelling on the reef in the Maldives and full of happiness. I’m usually terrified of deep water but all the creatures were very friendly and the water was warm. It was beautiful life <3”

Pretty Girl: “Sunrise shoot for Fabric—the 4am wakeup was cruel but the results were amazing. It was freezing cold, the kind of cold that hurts, but the sun slowly warmed us up as it rose.”
