A-COLD-WALL* has launched its Spring/Summer 2025 collection “Pink Noise”, taking inspiration from Britain’s sonic culture, specifically the practice of illicit radio broadcasting.
“Pink Noise” draws from pirate radio’s ephemeral and subcultural nature, exploring themes of anonymity, audacity, and functionality. The collection is divided into distinct “stories”, each showcasing ACW’s signature approach to modern utilitarian fashion.
The Balfron Series, where exaggerated proportions are created through cinching and ruching, offer a radical take on form. Other designs such as the Form and Brunswick continue the brand’s exploration of classic silhouettes, with angular seams in shirting and jerseys evoking the subtle imagery of radio antennas.
The collection’s colour palette contrasts earthy tones such as bone, slate, stone, rust, and tourmaline with pops of Citronelle yellow. Weathered dye techniques give a vintage, patinated feel to the fabrics. Graphics also play a key role, with abstract prints in tonal and volt colours, dissected and rearranged in patchwork to further emphasise the theme of transmission and reception.
ACW’s SS25 collection is available to purchase now via the brand’s official webstore.
