With her woozy, genre-fluid sound and unfiltered charm, JGrrey has quietly become one of the UK’s most compelling voices in alternative R&B. Blending elements of soul, jazz and psychedelic pop, her music feels like a stream of consciousness—dreamy, sharp and emotionally bare. Since making waves with her viral COLORS performance of “Don’t Fade”, the South London talent has cultivated a growing following drawn to her raw lyricism and unmistakable vocal tone.
This year, JGrrey brought that singular energy to Cross the Tracks—London’s favourite festival focussed on soul, jazz and future-facing sounds. Performing under the summer warmth at Brockwell Park, she delivered a set that balanced hazy introspection with bursts of charisma, effortlessly connecting with the crowd. Tracks such as “Growing” and “Pretty Insane” hit differently live, revealing the emotional weight beneath their mellow surfaces. Against a backdrop of legends and tastemakers, JGrrey proved she’s not just riding the wave—she’s helping shape its direction.
We gave JGrrey a disposable camera to capture some BTS moments from her main stage performance at the festival…
