Sibling duo Frost Children have released a new single, “WHAT IS FOREVER FOR”, the third track from their upcoming album SISTER, out 12th September via True Panther / Dirty Hit.
“WHAT IS FOREVER FOR” follows recent singles “Falling” and “CONTROL”, and continues building anticipation for SISTER, the pair’s third studio album. Drawing influence from early 2010s EDM and blog house, the record blends emo, electro-pop and experimental production while exploring themes of co-dependence, change and identity.
Speaking on the single, Angel of Frost Children shared: “I like the imagined scenario of a romantic on-and-off fling in a faraway place demonstrating some kind of disregard for Forever. EDM has always had this ethos of “We only have Tonight”, which we agree with. It’s not quite apocalyptic, but there’s some sense that nothing really lasts forever, in a beautiful and sometimes sad way. You shouldn’t force Forever or stretch a moment any longer than it happens—the sudden pause is what makes the party obsessional.”
Their third full-length album is being described as Frost Children’s most complete and confident work to date, capturing both their evolving sonic palette and the deep creative bond they share as artists, collaborators and siblings. As Lulu Prost puts it, “This is so confidently what we love, and what we breathe.”
