Salomon Sportstyle Japan has quietly released an exclusive version of its RX SLIDE 3.0 in collaboration with Kyoto-based artist Ryunosuke “Uchi” Uchida.
Revealed at a community event at Ace Hotel Kyoto, the limited-edition slip-on features minimalist pine needle motifs and clean lines. Just 100 pairs were made globally, all given away as surprise gifts to guests—making the release a rare collector’s item from the start.
The release coincided with the hotel’s “SLOW SERIES” workshop, where over 180 guests joined Uchi in a natural dyeing session using pine needles. The celebration continued into the evening with custom cocktails and dishes at Stumptown Coffee Roasters. Though not available to buy, the collaboration hints at future projects from the Kyoto designer.
