Blood Orange, the project of Dev Hynes, has returned with Essex Honey, his first album in over six years, out now via RCA Records.

Written, produced and recorded entirely by Hynes, the record reflects on grief, memory and his upbringing in Essex, weaving personal storytelling with a wide-ranging cast of collaborators. The lineup includes Lorde, Caroline Polachek, Daniel Caesar, Mustafa, Turnstile’s Brendan Yates, Zadie Smith—making her first vocal appearance on record—alongside longtime creative partners such as Ian Isiah, Tirzah and Eva Tolkin.

Released alongside a self-directed video for the track “Countryside”, the album blends intimate lyricism with echoes of Hynes’ early influences while pushing his sound forward. To support the release, Blood Orange will tour this fall with headline shows, festival appearances and select dates opening for Turnstile and Lorde.
