East London artist tendai has released “Explain”, his first new music since his breakout project The Rain.
The new track reflects a year of personal change and creative growth, marking a more direct and intimate chapter in tendai’s sound. While The Rain explored heartbreak and self-discovery through atmospheric vulnerability, “Explain” signals renewal, with tendai’s lyrics and deliberate silences carrying equal emotional weight.
Speaking on the release, tendai explained: “ ‘Explain’ is a super reflective record to me. It soundtracks a time in my life when I needed answers but couldn’t find them. It’s like a raw confession , admitting to yourself that you have no idea what to do next . I think there’s a lot of power in vulnerability , this song was me tapping into that.”
