London rapper Blanco has released his new single “Regime”, the first taste of his forthcoming EP Paradise on a Lifeboat, arriving 21st November.
Built around kuduro-inspired production, the track pays homage to Blanco’s Angolan roots, weaving sharp percussion and bright guitar riffs into an urgent rhythm that contrasts with its heavy themes. Lyrically, Blanco delivers a sobering reflection on global conflict, misinformation and desensitisation to violence. “Regime” showcases a more introspective side to the artist, reaffirming Blanco’s status as one of the UK’s most vital and thought-provoking lyricists.
The release follows his standout COLORS performance of “Sombrero / This System” and collaborations such as “Remontada” with Kidwild, continuing a run that solidifies Blanco’s reputation for blending global sounds with incisive social commentary.
