adidas Originals and AVAVAV have unveiled their third collaborative collection, pushing the boundaries of sportswear.
The apparel line reinterprets classic sportswear codes with Avavav’s surrealist touch. Track tops range from slouchy and oversized to second-skin fits, while cropped puffers exaggerate proportions and trompe-l’œil layering nods to body-painted Beckenbauer jackets from AVAVAV’s SS25 runway. Shorts expand into exaggerated volumes, t-shirts integrate hoods and accessories, such as sliced-brim caps and sharply contoured bags, become sculptural statements rather than utility.
Footwear continues the experimental approach, the Modified Superstar features a sculpted sole and single-piece vacuumed leather upper with embossed stripes, while the Moonrubber Megaride enlarges its bubble outsole, adds reflective detailing, and evolves into a showpiece-ready boot. The collection’s boldest statement, the Luge Heel, transforms a 22-centimetre performance luge spike into a surrealist shoe.
