Avalon Emerson & The Charm has shared the title track from upcoming album Written into Changes, set for release on 20th March via Dead Oceans.
The new single lands alongside a performance video filmed in Emerson’s home studio with collaborators Hunter Lombard and Keivon Mehdi Hobeheidar, offering a first look at the full-length project.
Speaking on the new single, Emerson explained: “Sometimes change barrels down tracks, announced by a high loud whistle. Other times it flows seasonally over sand, carving a canyon. ‘Written into Changes’ is a song about moving across the world and turning chapters in life. This song came together in London with Bullion, Hunter and Keivon.”
Described as a reflection on embracing transformation, Written into Changes draws from five years of near-constant touring and relocation, tracing Emerson’s journey across cities including Berlin, Los Angeles and New York. The record marks the second release under the Avalon Emerson & The Charm moniker, following previously shared singles “Eden” and “Jupiter and Mars.”
