Mizuno Sportstyle has reintroduced the Wave Prophecy Morelia Neo for Spring/Summer 2026, unveiling a new silver colourway ahead of next year’s major international football tournament.
The hybrid silhouette merges two of the brand’s most recognisable designs: the heritage Morelia football boot, first launched in 1985, and the Wave Prophecy runner, introduced in 2011. Framed under Mizuno’s Infinity Wave sole unit, the model bridges performance innovation and lifestyle wear, reinforcing its cult status at the intersection of football culture and Japanese design.
Originally previewed during Paris Fashion Week in 2025, the updated edition pairs a football-inspired upper with the technical Wave Prophecy tooling, continuing the evolution of the crossover silhouette.
The launch is accompanied by a campaign film titled “Hope In The Youth,” set in Naples and developed by Brazilian creative Samir Bertoli in collaboration with local photographer Glauco Canalis. The film explores football as a generational identity, following a young girl gifted a pair of the new Wave Prophecy Morelia Neo as she moves through the streets of the city.
