1-800 GIRLS announces debut album ‘LOVE’

UK producer and DJ 1-800 GIRLS has announced his debut full-length album, LOVE, set for release on 8th May via Epic Records.

Four years in the making, the 12-track project traces the emotional arc of a relationship, from early chemistry and infatuation through to conflict and stability. In light of the announcement, 1-800 GIRLS has also released new single “good love”, following January’s “eye contact” featuring Council.

Expanding beyond club-focused production, LOVE positions electronic music as a vehicle for storytelling. Tracks including “limerence,” “sometimes” featuring Art School Girlfriend, and “home” map different stages of intimacy, with additional appearances from Baobei and Hella.

Speaking on the album, 1-800 GIRLS explained: “This album is really about growth through love; the kind that breaks you, builds you, and completely reshapes how you see yourself. I started writing some of these songs at the very beginning of 1-800 GIRLS, and I’ve been adding to it on and off ever since, almost like keeping a diary without realising it.

It’s my debut album, and I wrote, produced and mixed it myself, so every detail feels intentional and deeply personal. There are little easter eggs throughout, featuring people I love, and it’s filled with collaborations from artists who’ve inspired me and who I genuinely admire. Each song captures a different moment in time; different versions of me, different stages of understanding love and growth.

I’d love people to listen to it the way you read a book, from start to finish, because it tells a full story. It feels like closing one chapter of my life and stepping into another with more clarity and honesty, and I just hope people find themselves in it too.”

Following a string of shows over the past few months, 1-800 GIRLS is set to perform at Paradise City in Brussels, Lightning in a Bottle, and at Baby’s All Right in New York, with further dates to be announced.
