Following the high-energy release of “champagne”, the latest track shifts into a quieter mood, soundtracking the late-night and strange emotional clarity that hits just before morning. Drawing on the hazy nostalgia of pre-internet club culture, Jeshi frames nightlife not at its loudest, but in its comedown.
Speaking on the release, Jeshi explained: “‘At the Wheel’ is about those moments when you realize you’re not as in control of your life as you thought you were — and instead of fighting it, you just let go and lean into the chaos.”
