Last night, alt-dance pop DJ, producer and creative visionary AMBRR brought her ever-expanding world and community, AMBRR’S ROOM, to life once again, this time teaming up with Converse for a special activation hosted just along the canal in Haggerston. What started out as a series of online DJ sets has rapidly evolved into a cultural platform existing both digitally and IRL, rooted firmly in community and forward-thinking music culture.
With music placed at the centre, the sun-drenched evening blurred the lines between clubbing and live content, featuring lively sets from DRYBABE, OLUWA, ELLADHC and, of course, AMBRR herself. Taking the reigns at around 9pm, the multi-hyphenate navigated seamlessly through electro bops, club classics, edits and her own productions, including this year’s double release “perfect / ICE COLD” and January anthem “BACKSEAT”. Much to the crowd’s delight, with multiple chants of “hey AMBRR we like to party” ringing out throughout the evening, AMBRR proved exactly how to throw a proper party with strictly good vibes.
