Vibram FiveFingers has introduced the Trailope WP, a technical outdoor shoe that combines the brand’s five-toe construction with HDry waterproof technology, alongside a new campaign.
The shoe is designed to protect against the elements while keeping natural foot movement and a close connection to the terrain. The campaign takes its inspiration from the alphorn, the centuries-old instrument used to communicate across alpine landscapes, and was shot in the Swiss Alps.
Rather than the familiar outdoor themes of endurance and conquering nature, it celebrates the eccentricities of mountain life, featuring alphorn players, traditional yodellers and Swiss wrestlers. The brand says it favours awareness over distraction and connection over conquest, an approach that starts with the foot as the body’s first point of contact with the ground.
