Subradeon – We Are Resilient [Subradeon Records]

Returning to their own eponymous imprint, Berlin-based, Italian duo Subradeon deliver a selection of elevating techno tracks including a remix from Detroit’s very own DJ Rolando. Finding soul at the heart of their work, Subradeon are producers first and foremost who have worked with labels such as Rekids, Motech and Hardgroove. In 2018, the duo launched their self-titled imprint as a home for their own productions with the first two releases picking up an array of support from names such as Ben Sims, DJ Bone, Truncate and Spencer Parker to name a few. Spending the early part of 2020 in the studio, Subradeon mustered up their brand new “We Are Resilient” EP which pays homage to the story of the Native Americans fighting their right and in support of them, the duo have decided to donate part of the profits to a Native American charity.

Containing a series of bumping grooves with powerful political messages, “We Are Resilient” kicks off proceedings with a series of uplifting synths reminiscent of Detroit’s soulful techno style before “Don’t Fake The Funk” lays down euphoric keys and delightfully resounding kicks. On the flip, “Wisdom” showcases fluid percussion matched with spiraling modulations for an energetic number, before Detroit artist and former Underground Resistance member, DJ Rolando, finishes the record in style. Having catalogued various releases on the likes of Delsin, Ostgut Ton and UR, it is no surprise that DJ Rolando provides an immaculately energetic and pulsating remix packed with high quality bass rolls throughout.

“We Are Resilient” is out now on Subradeon Records and is available to buy and listen on Bandcamp.
