Philly-born Berlin-based musician (producer, DJ, vocalist) LSDXOXO releases a new single and visuals to “DRaiN” via Floorgasm, a first taste of his forthcoming debut album.
He unveils the vulnerable side of LSDXOXO, offering to his younger self the piece of pop-punk he needed in his teenage years in the 2000s considering love-themed music on queer individuals was almost not represented in pop culture back then, and still not enough today.
Speaking on the single, LSDXOXO states: “I wanted to make a piece of music that spoke to me in my adolescence how I wish I had been spoken to through pop culture in my formative years. (…) There were little-to-no showcased examples of gay love (especially alternative and black) in pop music back then, so I made this song to send back in time to baby LSDXOXO.”
