TSHA’s 360-degree experiential music video for “Sister”, one of the first of its kind, was first shown in November 2022 at Outernet London.
The multi-screen immersive video was created by British illustrator and animator Alice Bloomfield, and screened on the Outernet’s four storey, floor to ceiling, 360-degree, 16k screen surface – the most advanced on the planet – through December and into January. Completely re-edited and adapted for online, the new version has launched on TSHA’s YouTube channel.
Speaking on the video, Alice Bloomfield states: “Every single frame of the animation is hand drawn… I’ve never created anything on this scale before but TSHA’s track was really nice to work with as it’s so open to interpretation”.
The project was the first commission from the Outernet and Ridley Scott Creative Group production company Black Dog Films as part of the TMRW NW commission – an initiative that aims to discover young creatives capable of producing films and A/V content that fully utilises the Outernet’s screen scale, definition, and configuration, with “Sister” forming the blueprint for the future of experiential videos.
