Runway: MAINS SS25

Boy Better Know rapper Skepta shut down London Fashion Week once again with his second runway show for MAINS. Working with chief designer Mikey Pierce and graphic designer Johnson Orchid, Skepta returned to school with an expansive collegiate collection, revealed at 80 Vincent Square which was adorned with stamped lockers and university flags.

Boasting a star-studded audience consisting of Central Cee, Clint, Gabriel Moses, Frisco, Slawn and Mahalia amongst many others, the show displayed 27 mens’ and womenswear looks balanced on unisex lines. Having teased the collection on social media a few days before, Skepta served up a number of sleek looks which included a graphic double-breasted suit printed with school supplies, embroidered bomber jackets, leather wrestling shorts and labeled blazers. Leopard and camouflage prints were also prominent throughout the collection, spread across slim neckties, pocket squares and headgear.

In terms of accessories, the range included colour-blocked school bags, leather gloves and floral wreath-printed caps, as well as the debut of MAINS’ official collaboration with Kickers for their take on old-school leather boots which came in red, black and brown colourways.
