PUMA has teamed up with Nigerian visual artist Soldier on a reworked version of the PUMA Suede, released as a limited-edition Friends & Family collaboration.
Created to mark Soldier’s recent New York exhibition during Fashion Week, the shoe features camouflage patterns and collaged Nigerian archival imagery on a printed upper, with rich brown leather detailing and the classic Formstrip. The project celebrates Nigerian creativity, craftsmanship and cultural identity.
The release was celebrated at a dinner at London’s Shoreditch Arts Club on Wednesday 28th October, attended by Feux, Brandon Nembhard, Samuel Trotman (Samutaro), Ed Worly (Opake), photographer Kelvin Jones and Soldier himself.
