Carhartt WIP has announced the reopening of its London flagship store located on Brewer Street in the heart of Soho.
Designed by Salomée Faeh and the Milan-based architecture studio of Andrea Caputo, the new store spans two storeys, blending modern industrial elements with organic detailing. At ground level is a concrete floor, complemented by contrasting black marble tiles at the till area. The basement level, meanwhile, features wood-paneled floors and walls, as well as natural wood shelves, creating a sense of balance and warmth in the overall design.
To celebrate the store’s reopening, Carhartt WIP will host local independent platform Kindred at the new space for a series of performances and DJ sets, live from the shop window. Over 32 artists curated by Kindred will feature, including the likes of Kit Seymour and DJ Python, Riz La Teef, Chinese Daughter and Tim Reaper, as well as Mi-el, amongst many others.
Carhartt WIP has also created a limited selection of store-exclusive products for its launch, including a t-shirt and hooded sweatshirt featuring artwork by graphic designer, photographer, and The Trilogy Tapes’ label founder Will Bankhead.
