The Wales-born, London-based designer has just unveiled his latest collection which takes inspiration from growing up in the 1990s.
Consisting of 30 unique looks, the latest collection showcases bright and robust colours throughout, spotlighting handcrafted woven stripe skirt suits which are emblazoned with retro seat designs from Routemaster buses and District Line carriages. Elsewhere, 70s football jerseys feature, reimagined with lace and striped with silk ribbons, whilst tank tops, jumpers and skirts are crafted with exotic sunsets. TV shows such as Only Fools And Horses and Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em also inspired the collection, with the camo-patterned ex-army jacket sported by Rodney in Only Fools and Horse having an impact on trousers, skirts and shorts.
Speaking on the collection, Adam Jones stated: “This collection feels like it has been years in the making without me really knowing. It is perhaps the accumulation of all the things I remember growing up in Wales during the 1990s, which I always say felt like growing up in the 1970s as rural Wales became a time warp post-Thatcher.”
