London producer and vocalist Lauren Duffus has released her latest EP Can’s Gone Warm today via AMF Records’ Select Few imprint.
The EP traces a journey from emotional desolation to catharsis, blending haunting vocals with atmospheric, experimental production. Tracks like “N.U.M.T.E.” and “Super” showcase Duffus’ range — from surreal, left-field electronica to R&B-inflected intensity — while “Lewisham” strips her sound back to minimal piano and sub-bass. Lead single “Liar,” written in summer 2023, departs from the electronic palette entirely, layering vocal harmonies over acoustic textures in a slow-building reflection on loneliness and emotional cycles. This track also comes alongside a captivating set of visuals.
Since her early SoundCloud experiments during the 2020 lockdown, Duffus has steadily built a reputation across the UK underground scene, earning support from NTS, AD93, The Face, and British Vogue. Her shape-shifting sound draws inspiration from artists like Oneohtrix Point Never and early-2010s witch house, yet remains unmistakably her own.
