Salomon has teamed up with singer-songwriter Ama Lou for her first-ever sneaker collaboration, reimagining the XT-Whisper Void model.
Originally a brand endorsement during Ama’s tour, the collaboration has evolved into a hands-on design effort led by Ama and her creative agency, I Came Home Late Studios. The result is a fresh take on the trail silhouette, combining Salomon’s performance-driven technology with Ama’s artistic sensibility.
The new colourway—“Pearl White,” “Coral Orange” and “Seaweed Green”—adds an ethereal touch to the rugged silhouette. Performance features include Sensifit construction, Quicklace closure and Salomon’s Agile Chassis system for enhanced grip and stability.
Speaking on the release, Ama Lou stated: “Number one (reason to wear Salomon) is functionality, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if you’re a fashion girl, there’s nothing more annoying than having shoes that don’t feel good. They’re also subdued in terms of branding so can go with everything. If I’m on a small trip, I’ll take one pair of Salomons and I know I can go for a hike in the woods or wear them to dinner without anyone looking at me crazy. They’re really easily transposable across lots of different outfits but also understated and chic.”
To mark the release, Salomon launched a visually rich campaign inspired by Japanese Ama divers, exploring themes of strength, fluidity, and transformation—qualities that reflect both the artist and the shoe.
