Bakey unleashes bold debut album ‘Tribute’

London-born, Bristol-based producer and DJ Bakey has released his long-awaited debut album, Tribute, out today via Warehouse Project Records, the label’s first-ever full-length release.

Two years in the making, Tribute marks a defining moment for one of UK club music’s brightest new talents. The album channels Bakey’s deep respect for the foundations of British rave culture while carving out a bold, forward-looking sound. Drawing influence from pioneers such as Joy Orbison and Calibre, Tribute captures both the intimacy and intensity of the dancefloor.

Across its tracklist, Tribute moves fluidly through 2-step, breakbeat, broken beat, jungle, drum & bass and dubstep, spotlighting Bakey’s broad production range. With standout singles such as “Senses” and “Fool Me Twice”, the record blends nostalgic textures from pirate radio and UK dance history with modern, emotionally charged club energy.

Speaking on the album, Bakey explained: “This album has been over two years in the making, so it feels surreal for it to finally be released. It’s a snapshot of where I was as an artist at the time, bringing together the styles that have shaped my production. The title Tribute reflects my connection to an era of UK dance music I never experienced first-hand, but that continues to inspire me — late ’90s to early ’00s pirate radio, raves, club nights and soundsystem scenes.”
