Wesley Joseph has returned with his first release since 2023, unveiling new single “If Time Could Talk.”
The Walsall-born, London-based singer, songwriter, producer and filmmaker re-emerges after a period spent honing his artistic direction. The track, produced with Nicolas Jaar, Harvey Dweller and Tev’n, signals a renewed chapter in Joseph’s sound, pairing atmospheric production with a restrained, emotive vocal performance exploring themes of memory, transition and emotional clarity.
Speaking on the single, Joseph stated: “Ultimately the song is about the pull of a lost connection, desire, regret and romanticising the past—some of the songs I write have a really specific story and others are a feeling dramatised into a scene and “If Time Could Talk” feels more like that—emotional honesty, immediacy and melancholy all wrapped into an elated escape”.
The accompanying self-directed music video, shot in Paris and produced by Stink, extends this vision further. Set in shadowy club interiors and warped mirrored rooms, the film builds toward a feverish climax, merging stark realism with dreamlike abstraction.
Joseph is also set to return to the stage for an intimate headline show at Hideout on the 22nd of January, inviting audiences back into his ever-evolving world.
