South Sudanese–Australian producer and DJ Skin On Skin has resurfaced with a surprise mixtape titled Home Is True.
Arriving on his Stay On Sight Recordings label, Home Is True is written, produced and performed solely by Skin On Skin. The tape blends heavy, percussive club tracks with more reflective, downtempo material, and features his own vocals on multiple songs. It also explores themes of identity, connection and the cultural influences that have shaped his sound.
Taking to Instagram, Skin on Skin explained: “A mixtape of new and old songs that I’ve cherished over the years, and now I hope it becomes a home to you. thank you all for being on the ride with me — this is all for you, home is true.”
The project follows a period of rapid global growth for the multi-hyphenate, who broke out in 2022 with the club anthem “Burn Dem Bridges” and has since played a run of high-profile sets across Europe and East Asia, including appearances with Skrillex, Kettama, Fred again.. and Overmono.
