Le Labo Fragrances has announced the release of the CYPRÈS 21 INDIGO Special Edition Classic Candle.
The candle draws inspiration from aizome, Japan’s centuries-old indigo dyeing technique. Le Labo collaborated with a fifth-generation family-run atelier specializing in the craft, where cotton is dyed using fermented Japanese indigo in long-used wooden vats. The process informed the candle’s presentation, which features a deep indigo vessel and a gradient label that reflects the organic variation of hand-dyed textiles.
While the design receives a new expression, the fragrance remains unchanged. CYPRÈS 21 is defined by bright cypress layered with juniper, clove and star anise, grounded by warm incense and patchouli, evoking the atmosphere of a secluded woodland retreat.
