Nene H has announced her second album Second Skin, set for release on 27th March via her very own label, UMAY.

The Turkish-born, Berlin-based artist follows her 2021 debut Ali علي with a deeply personal record that documents the disintegration and rebuilding of identity in the aftermath of a breakup. Framed as a sonic journal of emancipation, Second Skin moves fluidly through deconstructed club music, trap, house, trance and future-facing bass, woven together with fractured SWANA musical references and fleeting vocal traces.

Led by the new single “Promises, promises”, out now, the nine-track album is structured as a gradual transformation, balancing experimental compositions with more direct, club-driven tracks. Rooted in Nene H’s background in classical piano, her Turkish-Azerbaijani heritage and years within Berlin’s queer underground, the project sharpens the emotional and rhythmic tensions that have defined her work to date.
