Liverpool-born, Glasgow-based producer KAVARI has announced PLAGUE MUSIC, her debut EP for XL Recordings, set for release on 6th February 2026 as part of the label’s House Bag series.

The four-track project marks her first release with XL and her most distilled statement to date, following early support from the likes of Aphex Twin, Ethel Cain, Flume and Yeule.

The announcement also arrives alongside lead single “IRON VEINS”, accompanied by a video directed by long-time collaborator Game Nova. Named after the cult documentary Black Metal Veins, the track establishes the EP’s emotional core, pairing punishing low-end with a stark, confrontational atmosphere. The video reframes Alice in Wonderland through a psychological lens, amplifying the track’s sense of unease.

Written while touring and completed in her Glasgow home, PLAGUE MUSIC builds on the foundations of 2022’s Suture but pushes further into harsher terrain. Drawing from drum & bass, dubstep and noise, the EP rejects EDM polish in favour of tension and decay, using human textures and field recordings to blur the boundary between club music and experimental sound design.
