Men’s grooming brand Horace has introduced Mezcal Musc, its sixth fragrance, built around a distinctive mezcal–musk accord.
Inspired by the landscapes and craft traditions of Mexico, the scent blends smoky and sensual notes designed to evoke the atmosphere of an Oaxaca bar, where humid air mixes with the aroma of agave spirits. As with the brand’s previous releases, the fragrance concentrate is handmade in Grasse, widely regarded as the world capital of perfume.
The scent opens with pimento, cumin and pink pepper, followed by a heart of cypress, davana and guaiac wood. Base notes include vetiver, birch tar and musk.
According to co-founder and CEO Marc Terlet, the fragrance centres on a bold mezcal note. “With Mezcal Musc, we use a smoky mezcal note, bold, distinct and a personal favourite, to create a one-off fragrance,” he said.
Founded in 2016 by Terlet and Kim Mazzilli, Horace produces accessible grooming and fragrance products with a straightforward, inclusive approach aimed at modern men.
