Experimental pop artist Cobrah has released her highly-anticipated debut album Torn, out now via Atlantic Records.

Written and creatively directed by Cobrah, the record blends raw emotional vulnerability with cinematic production and provocative pop energy. Vocally, the album marks a shift from the sultry sing-speak of earlier tracks toward a more melodic and expressive performance. The project reunites Cobrah with longtime collaborators Isac Hördegård and Hannes Roovers, while also featuring work with Illangelo, Machinedrum and songwriter Tove Burman.

Speaking on the album Cobrah explained: “With Torn, I am way more ‘me’ as a person, the songs pull from my real life. It’s a little bit scary. I love doing characters. I love making things up and being extreme – and I’m still doing that on this album – but I’m also peeling it all off and presenting my real self as a character.”

Alongside the album, Cobrah has shared a video for the single “Dog”, which sees the artist performing in a mud bath alongside two Dobermans.

Cobrah will support the release with a North American and European tour beginning at Treefort Music Fest in Boise, followed by dates across major cities including Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago and New York City before heading to London, Berlin and Paris in May. She will also make her debut at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this April.
