Apple has unveiled the AirPods Max 2, introducing a major upgrade to its premium over-ear headphones with improved sound, enhanced noise cancellation and a suite of new intelligent features.
Powered by Apple’s H2 chip, the updated model delivers up to 1.5 times more effective Active Noise Cancellation, alongside refined audio quality through a new high dynamic range amplifier and support for 24-bit, 48 kHz lossless audio via USB-C. Features such as Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness and Voice Isolation also debut on the over-ear line, automatically adjusting sound based on surroundings and improving call clarity.
A new Live Translation function, powered by Apple Intelligence, enables real-time multilingual conversations, while additional tools like camera remote control and studio-quality recording aim to expand use for content creators. The headphones retain their signature design while launching in five colourways; midnight, starlight, orange, purple and blue.
Customers in the U.S. and more than 30 other countries and regions can order AirPods Max 2 starting Wednesday, 25th March, via Apple’s website and in the Apple Store app
