LOEWE is celebrating its 180th anniversary with a new campaign, capsule collection and publishing project honouring the Spanish luxury house’s long-standing commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.
Photographed by Talia Chetrit, the anniversary campaign features brand ambassadors Julia Garner, Salma Abu Deif, Giselle and Kara Wai, alongside Sissy Spacek and artist Kara Walker. The cast is pictured with some of the house’s most iconic designs, including the Flamenco, Puzzle and newly reimagined Amazona 180 bag.
Launching June 3rd, a special capsule collection spans bags, ready-to-wear and leather goods, featuring lion-inspired details that reference the brand’s name and heritage. The celebrations also include an animated film narrated by Antonio Banderas, tracing key moments in LOEWE’s history from its founding in Madrid in 1846 to its evolution into a global luxury house.
A companion publication, 180 Years of Craft, will be released alongside Issue 11 of the LOEWE Magazine on June 15, offering a closer look at the house’s archives, Madrid atelier and the enduring legacy of the Amazona bag, first introduced in 1975 and now reinterpreted for a new generation.
