Mura Masa has teamed up with Ledbyher for new single “Needja”, the latest release on the producer’s own Pond Recordings imprint.
Created around chopped and reworked vocals from the London rapper, “Needja” sees the GRAMMY-winning producer continue to explore his self-described “emo-breaks” sound, combining hard-hitting breakbeats with emotionally charged club production.
Speaking on the collaboration, Ledbyher expalined: “Working together was like buttering bread really, a good thing made easy. We spend most of our time listening to and discussing rock artists or Sneaker Pimps and The Sundays. That comes after we go to the cafe of course. Our brains are like wildfire when we’re together and making stuff, just two people from the sticks having fun. Also his cat, Chaplin, helps too and needs an honourable mention.”
