The World Toe Wrestling Championships returned to Ashbourne, Derbyshire this July, bringing together competitors and spectators to celebrate one of Britain’s most unusual sporting traditions.
For a second consecutive year, Vibram FiveFingers joined the event as Official Footwear Partner, continuing its support for a championship that champions movement, individuality and the capabilities of the human foot.
More than a quirky contest, the annual event has become a longstanding community gathering, attracting returning families, reigning champions and first-time competitors from countries including the US, Canada, Greece and Thailand. As rivalries are renewed and new challengers step onto the mat, the championships continue to celebrate the people and community keeping the unique tradition alive.
